Vacuum distillation instructions:
The boiling point of a liquid refers to the temperature when its saturated vapor pressure is equal to the external pressure. Simply put, it is the temperature at which the liquid boils under a standard atmospheric pressure. Therefore, the boiling point of a liquid is not fixed and will change with changes in external pressure. Vacuuming to reduce the pressure in the system can lower the boiling point of the liquid, which is the theoretical basis for the vacuum distillation operation.
