Short path distillation Fundamental:

Short-path distillation is carried out under high vacuum (<10Pa) conditions. The molecules evaporated on the heating surface reach the condensation surface as short as possible to be condensed, so as to realize the distillation process of liquid-liquid separation.When the distance between the heating surface and the condensation surface is less than or equal to the mean free path of the evaporated molecules, the distillation process is also called molecular distillation.

Distillation process: the material enters the short-path distiller from the feed port,the distribution plate continuously and evenly distributes the materials to the vertical heating surface of the cylinder. While the materials fall by gravity, the rotating film scraping device forces a very thin liquid film on the heating surface.

Short path distillation performance characteristics:

High working vacuum and low distillation temperature;

Large heat transfer coefficient and high evaporation efficiency;

The heating time is short, and the "no dead corner" design of the short-path distiller avoids the accumulation of materials on the distribution plate, heating surface and film-scraping system, and reduces the thermal polymerization and thermal decomposition of heat-sensitive substances.

Structural features:

The transmission device and mechanical seal of the short-path distiller are specially designed and manufactured to meet the long-term stable operation of high-precision equipment. The reduction ratio of the transmission device and the lubrication method of the mechanical seal are determined according to the working conditions and material characteristics of the short-path distiller ( Forced circulation lubrication, static lubrication) and mechanical seal cooling method.
