5 liter short path distillation glass distillation equipment
Extraction process
Distillation relies on heat to evaporate cannabinoids from the original plant material. Two major extraction methods produce distillate, the segment path wiper technology.

Short-path distillation wiper process
Without solvent extraction, the short-path distillation technique works with the melting point of cannabinoids. In the segment path wiper technology, plant material is placed in an evaporation vessel. Within the container, a rotating wiper spreads the plant material onto the heated container wall. The constant motion of the wiper ensures that the plant material is only heated for a limited time, which helps to ensure minimal degradation.
The internal condenser is placed close to the vessel wall, thus providing a "short path" to collect the extracted steam. The wiper continuously moves the plant material down through the container before collecting the condenser as a liquid in the condenser. The beauty of this process is that heavier plant materials such as waxes and chlorophyll do not evaporate. Instead, the wiper packs these into a separate container to ensure that the actual distillate is very pure.
Short path distillation process
Short-range distillation is similar, but with significant differences, even without a wiper spreading the plant material onto the vessel wall. Instead, the plant material was added to the heated flask under vacuum. This vacuum draws steam into the fractionation tubes and separates the different compounds before they hit the condenser.
