Application of Rotary Vane Vacuum Pump in Short Path Distillation

The eccentrically mounted rotor in the rotary vacuum pump is tangent to the stator fixing surface. Two (or more) rotary vanes slide in the rotor slot (usually radial) and contact the inner wall of the stator. The pump cavity is divided into several A variable volume rotary vacuum pump. Generally, the gap between the rotary vane and the pump cavity is sealed with oil, so the rotary vane vacuum pump is generally an oil-sealed mechanical vacuum pump.

2XZ-Rotary vane vacuum is usually used in short-path distillation kits, small rotary evaporators, small glass reactors, molecular distillation equipment, vacuum drying oven, freeze dryers, vacuum barrels and other equipment.

Matching the oil mist filter and vacuum controller to the rotary vane vacuum pump can reduce the oil mist generation and vacuum control in the vacuum pump, which is a more efficient work of the 2XZ- 2 vacuum pump.

Rotary vane vacuum pumps in operation often fail if they are not operated properly. For example, the vacuum of rotary vane vacuum pumps decreases, fuel injection, smoke, oil leakage at oil seals, noise, etc., and emulsification of vacuum pump oil in the pump. . If this happens, don't panic first, and eliminate them one by one after the shutdown. Here are a few troubleshooting methods.
1. Rotary vane vacuum pump smoke and fuel injection: The rotary vane vacuum pump emits smoke or fuel injection during operation.
- Smoke, if the pump has just started to smoke, it is normal, if it is smoking for a long time, it is abnormal. The solution: Smoke indicates that there are repairs to the pump's air inlet, including pipes, valves, and containers. After leak detection is dealt with, smoking will end. Vortex flowmeter
- Fuel injection, indicating that there are a lot of leaks outside the air intake, and even the air intake is exposed to the atmosphere. Solution: Seal the air inlet of the pump to make the pump run, if there is no fuel injection, there are leaks; the exhaust valve disc is damaged, check whether the exhaust valve disc is damaged, and replace the defective exhaust valve disc.
2. Rotary vane vacuum pump noise: This refers to the noise of the pump.
- Knock on the cylinder, the pump will make an irregular sound when it is running, like the sound of metal hitting metal. This is the sound made by the rotary blade when it hits the pump body. This situation is mainly caused by a broken spring or a contraction or ejection failure between the paired rotating blades. Solution: Turn on the pump and check if the rotary vane spring is damaged. Replace the good spring.
- Exhaust valve disc noise, mainly due to the exhaust valve disc of the pump is broken. The solution: Replace the exhaust valve disc.
3. Decreased vacuum degree of vacuum pump: It means that the vacuum degree of rotary vane vacuum pump measured at the moment is lower than the factory index or the vacuum degree of previous use. There are many reasons for the low vacuum. Here are some of the main situations.
- The grade of the rotary vane vacuum pump oil added this time is different from the original. Different vacuum pump oil grades have different results due to different saturated steam pressures in different grades of oil. Solution: Replace the correct new vacuum pump oil according to the product model specifications.
- In addition, the vacuum degree caused by the vacuum pump oil is low, that is, the emulsified discoloration of the vacuum pump oil, or the dirt is too dirty. The solution: Put all the vacuum pump oil in the pump clean, replace the same type of vacuum pump oil, and solve the problem that the water vapor and impurities in the pumped gas do not enter the pump.
- The temperature of the pumped gas may be too high. The solution: reduce the temperature of the pumped gas, or you can add a corresponding heat exchanger.
- The oil circuit in the pump is not open or smooth, and a certain amount of oil is not maintained in the pump cavity. Solution: Check whether the oil circuit is unblocked, and add the same type of vacuum pump oil.
- Increase the clearance of the fit. This is because the exhaust gas contains dust for a long time, which causes the gap between the rotor and the stator to increase after wear. Solution: Check whether the gap is too large and replace with new parts.
